We love nature, so decided to visit the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum west of Tucson. This is the view from the porch of the Desert Museum and paths wind down and through the desert landscape. This is a great educational museum and would recommend for any visitors that love nature. https://www.desertmuseum.org/
They offer free wheelchairs and scooters for rent for $15 for the elderly or disabled. We tried the wheelchair for my mother, and wished we had gotten the scooter. Some paths are concrete and some are gravel, and there are quite a few hills, so the wheel chair pushing is hot and hard. Spring for the $15 scooter and you’ll enjoy yourselves much more. Also, go early in the morning for cool temperatures, take plenty of liquids, wear a hat and sunscreen.
It was time for lunch so we decided to try El Charro Cafe on Sunrise near our vacation rental in the Catalina Foothills. They have been in business since 1922 and are the oldest family owned Mexican restaurant in Tucson. They have several locations around Tucson. http://www.elcharrocafe.com/
Time for a nap!
