In the spirit of “Throw Back Thursday” I am posting my Senior 1988 High School trip to Europe. I’m trying to digitize my old albums that are yellowing and taking up space, so this works perfectly. Also, fellow classmates that went on the trip will probably enjoy seeing photos from our trip they never saw. The trip was for 10 days and we journeyed to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Lichtenstein. Our English teacher, Mrs. Crenshaw was the trip coordinator and brave leader.
We arrived in Lucerne, Switzerland where we stayed several nights. Although the weather was dreary, we got out and explored and had a good time.. as you will see…
A pub… willing to serve beer and cocktails with no questions asked. We like Switzerland!
Crazy painted buildings
Young me, Lucerne, Switzerland
Oberammergau was a scenic stopover
The drive through Austria was some of the most beautiful of the trip
Back to Germany and a wrenching visit to Dachau death camp
