We slept in and after we got going, headed down to the MGM Signature pool to relax and get some sun. To Signature guests, be VERY careful around the pool – the travertine tile is VERY slick and dangerous when wet!
It was Monica’s birthday, and we had decided on sushi for dinner. After googling buffets and restaurants, we decided to try Makino at 3965 S. Decatur Blvd., #5 in a shopping center. http://makinobuffet.com/
The cab ride was a bit scary, but we made it (whew!). Note to self. Always take a picture of the cabbie’s id for future so you can report them if you need to.
For sushi lovers, Makino’s buffet is a delicious dream! The restaurant is rather plain, but it’s all about the food! This will be our first stop next time we’re in Vegas!
After dinner we decided to take a ride on the LINQ “High Roller” Ferris Wheel to see the Vegas skyline at night. I found out later we could have gotten discounted tickets from Tix4Tonight, so be sure and check out their website for rides and most Vegas attractions. http://www.tix4tonight.com/
Afterward we strolled about the strip, then worked our way back to the MGM.
That’s it for tonight!
